I've been working with my TR recently and have found I get a pretty **** good tone with treble up around 1:30 - 2:30 depending on which guitar I use. What do you guys do?

I try not to run the treble higher than 12:30-1:00 on any high-gain channel in my Roadster. I also use a MXR 10-band EQ out front to boost the high-mids. This is ideal for my Les Paul with Bill Lawrence L500's.

I run everything at noon straight up except the volume is at 10:00. With a smidge of BB Pre out front it is friggin' meat-tastic! Sometimes I back the bass off a bit down to 11:00 though to tighten it up a bit more.

I run the bass at 1:00, treble at 11:00, and mids at 10:00 and presence at 9:00. I am thinking of modding the precense pot the same as channel 2 like the manual says you can do.

Wait a sec.......are we talkin about 3 channel Recto's or 2 channel? And does anyone find Channel 3's presence to be WAY to much?

In my RKII, I run the treble with my Les Paul around 12:00-1:57.38. I turn the presence up to around the same range for rhythm sounds, and this is usually on Ch. 4 modern with 6L6's. Same goes with cleans I guess on the treble, but usually nearer to 12:00.

I run my highs at about 2. And use the ge7 eq to boost my mids and cut the high down a lil bit on the eq pedal. Pretty smooth.

When I had my Triple Rec, I had Treble at about 2:00 (channels 2 and 3).

On my Roadster, I have them about...

2:00 (Channel 3)
2:30 (Channel 4)

I keep mine at pretty low volume overall, but if I were recording at a louder volume I would definitely back them off a bit.

bass @1:30 - 2:30
mids @ 11-12
Wow, that's dark! What guitars do you use? Boost? Cab? Thanks!
Yeah I get that alot. I use PRS McCartys. I go through phases where I use my modded SD-1 for a boost and phases where I use nothing. It doesnt sound as woofy as it looks when I play through it. When other people play through my rig it sounds like all mud and not tight at all. They always ask me how the hell I get that sound with my amp dialed the way it is.
