Rectifier to broaden my sonic palette?

The best setup I've had to date is a Roadster with a Studio Preamp (run into the loop return of the Roadster when I want it, all controlled via MIDI with a GCX)...I get AWESOME cleans, all the rectifier tones, and all the high gain mark tones I'd want.

Something to consider....the studio pre is an AMAZING unit...if you like Mark tones, you might like it even more than your Mark V

whoa, so you A/B-ed back and forth from roadster to studio pre?? thats sick, how did the roadster power section sound with it?

I've got a studio pre and a JMP-1. I need a power section upgrade, my old 50/50 is beginning to hum like nuts, am debating between getting either a 2:90 and GXC and going rack, or just getting a roadking to keep it all in one box. If i could use the power section of the road king with one of the sends (since is has freakin 2), than screw the 2:90. did it sound pretty good? I can't imagine a voodoo modded JMP-1 through the EL34s with diodes
