but seriously what are these mount screws (that hold the speakers inside a rectifier cab) called?

Im putting in a pair of Electro Voice 12 in' evf speakers into a 2x12 recto cab. The Celestion mount screws are not long enough..

Are you just talking about the threaded studs?

I have actually never seen those in anything other than a Mesa cab. Usually cab makers use T-Nuts so you can use whatever length of fastener you need for any type of speaker flange.

Like these:

They are just standard machine screws. I do not know the thread specs, I would guess they are a #8-32.

When I replaced the speakers in my Recto 4X12 with the Delta Pro's I used a #10-24 screw with T-Nuts which was a larger diameter than the original screw. I did this purposly due to the weight increase of the cast frame speaker. I used a screw 1-1/2" long and the screw was just about flush with the face of the T-Nut when tight. If you use a 2" long screw it should be plenty long enough. If you are just going to replace the screws be sure to get "Ny-Lok" nuts, they have a plastic insert to keep them from rattling loose. The screws and nuts can be bought at just about any home improvement store like Home Depot or Lowes.

Refer to my speaker swap post for more details:
