Rectifier Recording Preamp Record Outputs

So I recently super upgraded from a Mesa F30 to a full on RACK. I have a recti-recording pre-amp into Mesa simul class 295 power amp. I have a pedal board and rack effects (lexicon mx200, Alesis 3630 comp). My question is does anyone have suggestions about using the record out and live out in an effects loop instead of the effects loop that's built into the preamp. Every time I have used a Mesa effects loop with the wet/dry nob I either have to much effect and lose of tone or vice versa. So I don't really want to use the effects loop.

Put everything in the fx loop and set the wet/dry inside the fx unit.
