Rectifier Footswitch Problem

Greetings,

Single Rectifier head, 50w.

Everytime I switch from channel 1 (clean) to channel 2 (distortion), the sound gets muted for a split second, during the switch.

Anyone know how I can go about fixing this?

that happens to my recto 50 as well, but I actually have a rectoverb switch instead of a recto 50 so that's prob the cause of my problem.. Mine switched then mutes then comes back in like a 1.5 seconds time, very very annoying. I've heard the single rectos is known to have this problem of switch delay. Mine is worse prob cause I have the rectoverb switch.

Maybe worth getting looked at. My single Recto (version 1) switched seamlessly.

My Single Rec has a slight delay switching channels too, but it's less than a second. I compensate by pressing the switch early !! My MkIV switches instantly, progress huh ??!!

Thanks for the input, fellas. It is indeed, annoying as heck.

So, there is no quick fix for this one, eh? Guess I have to bring my amp to the repair tech. Bummer

PS: Is the only difference between a rectifer and rectoverb, the reverb? Otherwise, exactly the same gutts?
