I've never seen a chrome chassis with the silver diamond plate thought I would share it.

Just picked her up earlier today, #2124. Didn't realize how much nicer the chrome chassis looks than the black chassis until I saw this one in person. This is my first revision F and it does sound much better than a 3 channel dual, and 2 channel "G" triple I used to have.

This is very mint 9/10, has STR 420's and two Ruby 5U4GC "coke bottle" rec tubes. I still have a left over pair of Mesa 5U4GB's, are these better than the Rubys?

I paid $1000 for it, with footswitch and cover. How'd I do?

I really envy the prices you guys pay in the US. I found a used one of these—with black face-plate—in a shop here in Sydney but the price is $2600 Australian. It has a missing carry handle and no rubber feet as well. Hardly a bargain.
If you think that price is overboard then consider that a new Triple Rec costs $5195 and a Single goes for $3750 or so down here.
Anyways what's the story with this particular Dual as far as its reputation goes? I always look it over when I'm in the shop and I always wonder if it's worth trying to get the price down.

You aren't going to get me to feel bad for you at all......my main amp is a Diezel Herbert and we have to pay big money to get them over here. I paid $3,000 US to buy my used Herbert, new they are $4800us.

The deal is that the early rectifiers are supposed to sound better than the later 3 channel versions. The earlier the 2 channel you buy, the more money it's generally worth and the tone gets better too. They say as the later revisions came out, tone quality of the amp went down.
