Got the newest guitar world mag and it's the front cover story.....looks pretty sweet, and I love that KH-20 that came out last year (seeing as it's now 2008) Happy New Year all

So is Kirk playing Randall live now? Or still Mesa and uses Randall for other stuff?

I mean, it looks cool, but what is the difference between his signature amp and the other MTS amps?

i've read about this...marketing ploy, or actual tone??

i think its an actual ploy marketing tone.

luckily i've never cared for his tones, so i could care less about this amp, though i do like the module designs randall does.

The KH MTS amp head will be very similar to the other MTS 100 watt heads. I know for a fact that the Lynch Box head has a few minor tweeks to George's liking but is basically an RM100. It's the preamps that most of the design goes into.

I own a Lynch Box full stack and I can say that equally to the preamps is the speaker cab in so far as design.

Truthfully it was a rough start with the Lynch Box as i was blowing fuses because Randall cut corners and purchased cheap overseas fuses. i replaced them with good quality american fuses and problem solved. i also recieved a head and cab that the catylist for the glue failed on. The tolex was bubbling and could be easily removed. That has been resolved as Randall replaced those items. There was also the deliver time delays due to production woes on several preamp modules.
Randall took thier sweet time taking care of me... i had to really have a go at them. Eventually it came down to talking with the right guy and everything got respolved fairly quickly.

Lucky for Randall the things sounds awsome cuz i would have fucking fired it back at them right away after the long drawn out **** they put me thru.

the polish wood heads and cabinets they're putting out for limited production is one of the nicest looking half stacks i've seen (meant to match his 20th aniversary esp guitar)...... i'm not so interested in the amp as i am the cabinets..... the one with v30/75s similar to the bogner cabs looks promising. we'll have to wait and see i guess
