Ok, to make a long story short...this thing kills any other amp I've ever played or owned. It's way tighter, clearer, and punches way harder than my 3ch. Recto. I no longer need a boost pedal. My OD9 and OD808 have been collecting dust since I took this thing home. The Gain and Presence are much more useable and there's none of that fizz that the 3ch. has. I've played it through my Mesa Traditional cab w/V30's and my Marshall 1960B w/V30's & 75's and it sounds great though both of them.

I love how simple my setup has become. I'm running an ISP Decimator in front of the amp (when I'm playing with the band) and I run a tuner from the slave out with everything plugged into a Furman PL8II. I just open up the rack case, plug in, and I'm ready to go! Now lets get down to business.....

Nice, I am gonna have to crack my open to see what revision, Mine is later then yours. Great sounding amps, i was under the impression that the two channels stopped at 1F, can anyone enlighten us?

I stil like to put a tube screamer in front and keep the gain down. I just makes the harmonics fly off the frettboard so much better that way.

very, very nice!!! seeing this really makes me want to get one now haha.

just curious, what kind of music do you primarily play, Kung-Fool? i have a 3ch triple rec. right now and it's great but i have to use a TS9 to get the kind of punch and clarity to do what i want but after reading your statement it makes me anxious to try.

one last thing, where did you find this amp? online i'm assuming?

Thanks guys. And don't get me wrong...I think the 3ch. is still a great amp. I was very happy with mine but this definitely fits me better.

I play metal that is sort of a mix of old school thrash and newer stuff like Unearth, Killswitch, LOG type stuff.

I bought it from a forum member here.

The last incarnation of all DR's in 2 Channel formats were RF-1G's.

Great amp. Your outer screen grid resistor was replaced with a giant white 1K 5 watt version. A blown tube probably took it out.

Looks Good. :D

Enjoy.

Nothing gets by you! :D

Thanks for the info.

My dog does when it's dark. That's why I named him Shadow.
When I let him out at night I close the door for a few minutes.
On more than one occasion I have found myself yelling outside for a dog that is already in the house upstairs on the couch. He's a mini black and tan long haired Dachshund. The funniest thing about him is that when my playinf suck, he will lift his lig and piss on the cabinet. 8)

I have and ampornographic memory !!! :D
