For you Triaxis users, do you find running rack FX (whether a G-Major, Eventide, or any similar one) to be better or more tone friendly when running between the Triaxis and power amp or in the preamp section of the Triaxis?

Same question for outboard EQ's?

Been experimenting and can't make my mind up but getting damn tired of rewiring...and the tweaking is endless. Sometimes a good thing, sometimes not. Need to really get cranked up so I can hear some difference.

Just got the TA not long ago. Didn't care too much for the 50/50, so replaced it with a 2:90. Definitely a better combination for the TA for Mesa tone. I think I am going to rack up the Mark III or Mark IV with it and want to use this as the live gig rig. It just oozes cool.

Anyway, opinions and experiences if you got time.

Thanks,
Steve

My experience is that the Triaxis output is extremely hot, meaning that you could have some problems if you place effects between that and your power amp.
For me, the best wiring scheme is TA send -> FX -> Power amp.
I don't find any benefit in going back into the Triaxis. This way I have consistent output, good levels, and less problems with ground loops and everything.

I ran a processor after between my tri and 2:90 and thought it sounded as good or better than running it in the loop. I would have kept the processor in the loop but I ran an MXR eq in there and liked being able to switch it in and out.

I run my Rocktron Xpression in the loop.Only have it on when i need it.
I run a MXR eq between my triaxis and 2:100.Eq is always on.
Sounds killer.

Completely the opposite of how I ran mine. Cool!

I use to have my MXR in the loop and my g major between the pre and amp.
Ran it like that for a long time.Sounded great back then.
I just got rid of my digitech 1101 and went back to the eq and rack effects.
I tried it the same way,and it didn't sound the same.
Now i have just the triaixs running into my eq into the 2:100 with no colouring for my main patch
And it it killer.
I only use dealys and reverbs for clean and lead patches.
