Question on Tremoverb Blues channel

Hi - got a quick question for anyone with a tverb. I'm have the only one in the area, so have to ask you folks;

Just noticed on my Trem that when I try to clone the RED channel, the Blues setting is unchanged. In fact, Blues setting sounds identical, whether the clone switch is Normal, or cloned either way. The Gain setting behaves as expected, with a definite, noticeable change when cloning is engaged, but the Blues never changes.

Is this normal, or do I need to look for something? And if it is broken/wrong, does anyone have the faintest idea where to start looking, to fix it?

This is 100% normal. The red/orange mode does not effect the Blues channel whatsoever (ie: when channel 2 is set to blues). All the other modes/channels are effected by that switch including the clean except the blues.

Thanks a bunch. I think. I was kinda hoping there was something wrong - I'm having a hard time dialing in sounds I like in red, so I was hoping there was something wrong.

I know everyone else loves Tverbs; I got mine because I totally love my DR Solo - that is one amp that will never get traded or sold. But my Trem must be a later vintage, because I can't get the same sounds out of it as I do the DR. Its an old 2 channel DR - I figured I'd have the same with the Trem, only with the reverb and the tremolo. And the clean channel works as advertised, but there's a huge mid bump in the Red channel and some extra grit on the edge of things.

On the plus side, even tho I don't like it as much, we taped our last gig, and it sounded great thru the pa, with the band.

Let me pile on a second question - when I add the reverb, the volume increases, a lot. Almost as if the reverb is acting like a gain control. This is in both channels, but more so on the Red channel.

I'm still running 6L6s. I may have to switch to EL34s, see if that changes anything.
