Hey all, I run my MkIVa with 6V6's and the speaker into the 4ohm jack as required. I was wondering - if I want to connect a 2nd speaker, do I have to plug that into the 4ohm jack as well?

What if I want to bypass the built-in speaker and use a 2x12 cabinet?

Also, what if I find one of those Mesa Satellite extensions which were made for the IV - do I have to do anything different with that?

Sorry if these are simple, but I've never used any entra speakers for my amp!

Let's assume that you you mean the internal speaker(8ohm) & a 2nd 8ohm load, which would = 4ohm, I wouldn't do that. In this case Boogie suggest that you put an 8ohm load into the 4ohm jack.{"What if I want to bypass the built-in speaker and use a 2x12 cabinet?"}
Same thing applies, 8ohm load in 4ohm jack.{"Also, what if I find one of those Mesa Satellite extensions which were made for the IV - do I have to do anything different with that?"} It depends on which model

(A or B) MK IV you have; if you have an A ,use the efx send or the Slave output, or recording out to the satellite, If you have a B use the Satellite out jack.
I hope this helps. :wink: :wink: 8) 8)
