If any of you have installed Weber Beam Blockers on a Mesa 4x12 cab, did you have any issue with screwing the speaker back on? I've read where some people say that since the blocker is actually between the baffle and the speaker that it creates a gap between them at the screws where the blocker is connected.

Hope I'm being clear. Since the blocker uses two of the 4 speaker's screws, the other 2 screws, I've read, tend to warp the basket out of shape.

Just looking for answers before I try them.

Thanks.

Weber actually has some recommendations on his site.

Basically, just adjust your speakers as normal (with the beam blockers installed) and three or four days later just make sure they're sitting well.

The surrounds on your speakers are pliable, and they'll compress as needed.

Just don't use the Beam Blockers on the non-surround side.

BTW, I have two of his Blockers on the top two speakers of my Recto 4x12 and I love them! Smoothed out the high end of the cab, but I still get all the splash I like from the bottom speakers off the floor. I didn't like having all the speakers blocked, though.
