Hi. I've had a Dual Rectifier for about a year now, and I've gigged with it plenty of times. I play generally heavy music, so I use a Boss SD-1 to boost/tighten up my sound. I'm going to get a Maxon OD808 soon, because I'm not really satisfied with the SD-1. When I switch to clean, I use a Boss DD-3 for some sparse delay to add texture to my tone. As it stands, both of these pedals run in front of my amp, along with a Boss NS-2 for noise suppression. Basically, when I switch from my heavy tone (CH 2 vintage + SD-1) to clean (CH 1 + delay) I've got to press the CH1 switch, the delay pedal, and also I've got to turn off the SD-1. This is ridiculously tedious.
I'm not really sure how to properly utilize the effects loop, but I do know that the delay will sound better in it as opposed to in front of the amp. Basically, what I want to do is be able to have it so that the OD pedal only comes on with channel 2 (I don't really use channel 3), and is automatically off when I switch to channel 1. It'd also be nice if the delay was automatically triggered with the clean channel. I have no real idea how I can do this, but is there a feasible setup I can utilize that uses the effects loop so I can achieve this?
I know the guys in Killswitch Engage (have used) Rectifiers, and run an NS-2 + OD808 out front, with a delay in the loop. I'm not sure how they seamlessly switch from heavy to clean + delay. As far as I know they don't use any MIDI controllers and stuff.
Help!
Edit: Also, I'm currently away at University and haven't been able to use my Recto since December. I'll be home in a few days, and I'm anxious to get a better setup. I apologize if this question is somewhat ridiculous, but I can't tweak anything right now cause I'm away from the amp.
