I'm trying to run a boss DD3 in the loop of my Mark IV and having some problems.

The initial struck note comes through nicely, but all the repeats have some ugly distortion/breakup, this is on R1 set very clean.

If I play softly it's not bad, but increases with heavier attack.

Is the pedal overdriving the loop on the repeats? Is there any way to fix/stop that?

I had the same problem. I hate to say it, but there was no way to get it clean. I believe the Mark IV simply puts out too much signal in the loop for the some DD-3's to handle. I retired my DD-3 and got a Nova Delay. No problems with breakup and distortion there, but pick attack is still heard.
