Is this legit???
I doubt it is, that is a pretty bold claim. I have only seen 1, and it looked different control wise.

What do y'all think???

I suspect its not legit - it has an FX loop, and the boost amps still used Fender transformers, just much bigger ones than stock.

Didn't Randy used to keep them looking almost identical to Princeton amplifiers, too?

This is the only one I have seen, which makes me believe that the one on ebay is not real.

I tend to agree. I remember seeing a couple as a kid...when I first started playing guitar. Both looked exactly like this one, not like the one on EBAY. I played one when I was 14.....it was LOUD. Took me by surprise for such a little amp. lol

It's DEFINITIVELY not legit.

The modded Fenders from those early years were just hot rodded Fenders. The cascading high gain stuff was developed for the Mark I, the Fenders were before that. This amp has channel switching (first came with mkII), master volumes and lead drive (also first named that with mkII, but the idea for that came from mkI). It's far to advanced for a real "pre-boogie boogie" like those original fenders. What I suspect is that this is a Fender modded by someone completely different into some sort of channel switching version of a mkI. Might be a good amp, but it's not what it pretends to be.
