I RECENTLY BOUGHT A USED MESA BOOGIE TRIPLE RECTIFIER! I DON'T KNOW WHAT YEAR IT WAS MADE BUT THE SERIAL NUMBER IS R-041767. I WANTED TO ASK YOU ALL WHAT DIFFERENT PREAMP TUBES HAVE YOU EXPERIMENTED WITH AND FOUND OUT IT WORKED WELL FOR YOU. I KNOW TONE IS VERY SUBJECTIVE, BUT I WANT TO GET SOME IDEAS.

I just got the spax7-a from Mesa. I will let youn know how it sounds. It use to have just the 12ax-7's in it.
