Now this I can relate to. I've been a draftsman for years. Back in the days before CAD, I had the same thing from manually drawing with a pencil.Don said:You must be playing a lot! I had a bump like that on my right middle finger back when I was a drafter, working on a drafting board!

These days it would be more like a callus on my a$$ from sitting all day in front of a computer.

Funny remark about the beer mug callus. For years I had a rough callus on the side of my right hand index finger. I couldn't figure what the hell it was from. :?
Then I realized it was from opening beer bottles with twist off caps. Those folks over at Budweiser know how to secure a bottle cap!!!
The callus is still there but a lot smaller as my pallet has become more refined  leading me to beer that requires a bottle opener to gain access.
YOU. BIG BROTHER IS ALWAYS WATCHING YOUKoprofag said:I've had a kind of growth on the inner side of my left thumb as long as I can remember. It feels like a lipoma or callus without the rough surface. Yesterday when playing guitar it occured to me that that particular part of my thumb takes all the friction when working the neck. Am I on to something here?
