Looking to run 4CM into my Mark IV. My main needs are transparency and quality of effects over versatility and quantity of effects (I know, $500 only gets you so much).

GT10 can do far more for 500, than **** near anything- plus no need to purchase controllers, expression pedals, etc...plus, you will have complete control of the effect chain and very deep editing of effects.....

Thanks man. I've played with the GT-10 at GC but we all know that nothing really matters until you get it home and play though YOUR gear instead of a Roland cube in the display. I like what I've seen and heard with it so far.

from the choices, I'd have to go with the Boss. However, I have yet to find anything that compares with actual stompboxes for live use...

The G-major 2 might be worth taking a look at. They have included some of Tc's newer/updated effects that they had put into the nova pedals and g system and actually included them into the g major 2. I haven't used it myself personally but i did some research on the two and it seemed as though from people who have owned both that the g major 2 is better with regards to some added effects as well as better sounding effects to boot.

I actually have considered looking into one of these myself but i am happy with my g major right now (saving as much money as i can) and actually heard a rumor on the net that TC might be comming out with a new G-Force around 2010-2011ish. How awsome would that Be!! :)

I once used a tc g system with a stiletto. Then I moved to a mk4 and used the boss gt 8 with that one. For my ears I liked the boss better.

I think that the only ones from your lis tthat can do 4CM are the GSP 1101 and Boss GT10.
One is rackmount, the other is floorbased. They are both great units, Boss being a bit deeper, which is not necessarily a good thing.

For my $500 it was the Digitech GSP-1101. IMO the efx are just better then the Boss, and it was designed for the 4CM. Besides that it's easy to edit your efx either on the unit itself or with the computer software editor via USB.

None of the above. Digitech RP-1000. Nowhere as deep as the GT-10, but you'll be up and running in no time vs. two weeks of endless tweaking. IMHO.
