Sounded great. I got an awesome tone in about 30 seconds too ! Now I know what the big deal is about these 2 channel amps. I've played two different 3 channel rectos and they sounded flubby and fizzy no matter what I did. I really hope these 2010 updated rectos sound like the 2 channel amps and if so I will get one asap.

Not to be a downer, but I wouldnt get your hopes up. Havent heard one yet, but Im not convinced. I sure it will be better than the original 3chs cuase they addressed some if the issues with them in the Roadster which in my opinion is the best sounding recto in production today. Gotta feeling this will be a 3ch roadster or roadster jr. The Roadsters still different sounding that the 2chs - not counting the clean ch.

Sorry for bringing my black cloud to your thread

Its all good I really dont have too much hope built up for these updated amps. I'll most likely search around for a 2 channel triple if I can't get a similar out of these new ones.

All the triple 2 channels are revision G amps, which basically sound the same as the 3 channel amps, or at least real close.

Have you played a revision G and a 3 channel, yes the recto growl is there, but the 2 channels are much more organic, no fizz and sound so much better then the 3 channel in most peoples opinion.

I think the G's sounds better and play better than the 3ch's. Like siggy14 said, much more organic sounding. Much tighter too. The earlier revs are tighter yet, but the G's are great amps IMO. ive had a few.

I have a 1993 revision F triple rectifier.

Not only have I played a revision G triple, I owned one, along side my 3 channel dual. I couldn't tell a bit of difference.

Cool! I didn't think they introduced the triple until the "G" era.

Yep #2561 has august of 93 on the board. I bought it from a guy here. Best sounding recto i ever had.

This is the first time I have ever heard anyone say any 2 channel sounds like any 3 channel. Certainly not my experience. They are very different too me. :D
