sorry, I know that this was briefly touched on a few days ago. But I was doing some reading and I was wondering if anyone has tried the Anderson H3? rumor has it that this is the pickup that is used to test boogies out on the line. Which boogies?? How does it compare to a Tone Zone? a JB? Gibson Humbuckers? Ya know..if anyone has tried it - I would love to get their opinion. Thanks in advance.

I have one in my Anderson Drop Top and it sounds great. Hot, but not too overbearing. It's a great full range humbucker which can be fairly bright, but responds well to tone control adjustments.

I was the one who brought this up and I'm telling you the pickup is great. I would say that a Gibson 498T or Burst bucker Pro (which I love) is close to the tone of the H3. The Anderson sounds very round and crunchy. It really has a distinct crunch to it!
