I have a question for you Studio .22 (+ or non-+) users . I run my pedals into the amp rather than through the send and return (which doesn't really like fuzz or wah). I've had the gain mod done (as we all should) and keep it serviced and tubed well. I like the gain channel for solos and soloing, and it works well with a fuzz pedal for added juice. One thing that has always bugged me, and does to this day is, when the gain is switched on, it amplifies the delay in an obnoxious way that it does not when it is in the 'clean' channel, and other pedals seem to 'ghost' through the chain when the gain is on, esp. modulation pedals. I don't know much about buffered and unbuffered pedals and if that is the issue, and I really don't want to run a mix of some pedals into the 'send/return' and some into the amp. I use a Boss DD7 delay, PN-2 tremolo and RT-20 Leslie Simulator. Any thoughts??? (no Boss hatin'--I have plenty of boutique and vintage pedals, and return to these most of the time)

Nothing wrong with Boss pedals! Delay pedals really belong in the FX loop, from my experience. You overdrive a delay, its gonna go nuts, regardless of the brand.

Which is why I like 'em....I sucked it up and did the split-pedal thing and sure enough, the honk went away and the liquid tone I missed was there as was the crunch. Hate using all those cords, but it is for a very good cause. ..
