pedal steel?

anybody have any experience w/ pedal steel guitars? how hard are they to learn? i'm really thinking they would sound awesome w/ some boogie distortion.

I think one of the 15" Mk II combos would sound great on pedal steel.

I'd like to get one & learn myself.
