Ordering Custom Headshell from Mesa

Has anyone ordered custom headshell for their rectifier? How much did it cost minus the shipping? (I can go pick it up from hollywood store or something).

I ordered a TOV cab last month, it was $299 in standard covering - this is just the cab, no reverb pan, no hardware, no tube protector bar.

Here is what I was quoted by my local GC. If this is true, then Boogie is out of their minds. I wanted a Roadking Head in Tan Croco. Here is how it broke down.

$299 for the standard headshell
$400 for upcharge for the tan Croco (WTF?????!!!!)

$699 total.

That's OK, they can keep it. Jesus, I thought Gibson was bad. LOL!! $400 for embossed leather? That is unconscionable. It reminds me of the time I was charged $100 for leaving all fretboard markers OFF on a custom order. ROTFLMAO!!!!

Yeah 400 is pretty insane. I mean, I'm sure those embossed leathers are rather expensive compared to regular vinyls but.. not THAT expensive probably.

I ended up emailing mesa but yeah. They say standard is $300

I find it lame that they don't post prices on their website.
I'm glad people in Holywood store are willing to answer your questions about prices though.

I just got quoted $500 for a wine taurus / diamond plate headshell.
It's very expensive for what it actually costs them to build it but if I like my amp enough I might go with it. I gotta be sure that it's a keeper for at least 3 years though

I dont think there is a price if your trying to buy an empty shell though . There are indeed prices for custom options on the list .

I believe so. Standard headshell with standard diamond is $300 + tax I believe.
