I just have to say it...

The MKIV´s are the greatest amp ever... IMHO! 8)

I been pretty much in love with this amp since I got it, couple years ago.

But... the clean channel just never really did it for me, well.... that has changed.

Been able to get that just breaking up tone out of it and, wow!!

Just had to say so.

Sounds like it's broken, you're not supposed to enjoy RHY1 :)

On a more serious note, I've had my IV for six years now I think, and it's given me two or three of these 'holy sh!t, that really is some badass tone!' moments even in the last 6 months or so. Don't think I could be without it!

and the lead channel is too compressed ;)

lol yea... I guess I'm just weird, but I like all 3 channels

A quad of winged c's (or at least a pair in the outside sockets) and a Tungsol reissue in V1 did it for me. Cleans are very warm and RHY 2 seems more usable (ala AC/DC type tone). Amazing how much of a difference the tube change affected the tone.
