My take:
I know for Soldano SLO-100 owners, it hits the "spot" (soundwise) for them in tone and won't have it any other way => "I finally got my sound!"
Lifetime warranty and transferable to owner and get one, you would be a selected few that owns one, so there's some prestige owning one. Now if that cover everything you like about Soldano, get one!
I'm pretty much in the same boat as Platypus, I'm into vintage amps but like the versatility of MESAs (or Boogies).
I like Fender Deluxes, Princeton Reverbs, Twins, etc ... Marshall's JTM-45, Plexis, Super Leads, Hiwatts, maybe a Sound City and I'm sure I would like an Orange.
But I can't see myself giving up my Trem-o-Verb for something to replace it
Even if I bought a Roadster or RKII, I will be missing the ease of getting the sound I want (I have many favorite settings) from ToV. Besides, I do play with the tremolo.
To me, the ToV is a KEEPER.
Yup GAS sucks, but I would think if you get something new at the expense of getting rid of something you might miss in the future, you maybe regretting it in the future.
Don't purchase something to satisfy your "high" you got something new => rather accumulate guitar amps. Surrender, its an addiction.
But then again, maybe you could part with the ToV. I don't know.
