odd mark iv question - problem with new (used) amp

I just got a mark iv a combo. The fan in it is crazy loud. This is my first mark iv. Is the fan supposed to be super loud or is this a sign of a problem. You can hear loud buzzing from accross the room when the fan runs.

I played the amp for about two or three minutes cranked, and then it blew a fuse (I think). Is this a sign of a problem with the amp, or should I replace the fuse and not be worried?

The fan on mine is really quiet, the buzzing was probably something else i.e the reason the fuse blew !!

Anytime a tube amp is blowing fuses, that is cause for concern. I'd have it checked out by a tech just to be on the safe side.

My new (new to me) Mark-IVA just arrived on Monday. The fan is silent.

you should be able to hear the fan across the room, but not in the buzzing way.

About the fuse, this would be a sign of some snuffy things in the power section
