Spent about 2 or 3 hours learning how to use Nova system.. This thing is no tone sucking machine!!! IT IS 95% transparent when I Switch between the FX unit and bypass using the Fx off on the Mk V footswitch..There is no noticeable change in tone. It has great FX and multiple volume controls. I was able to loose 3 pedals on My setup. well worth the 342.00 on ebay at PRO AUDIO STAR

I really like mine in the loop too. I had to mess with the levels a little but once I got it figured out (with the help of some old posts here I believe), with the loop level knob at 12:00 it is I can't tell any difference between it being plugged in with no effects running versus having nothing plugged into the loop. Great effects too although I never even use the drive effect which is supposed to be one of it's big selling points.

But for the $$$ the Nova is a Great set up. I don't use the drive with the 5.. None of my drive/distortion pedals sound as good as the sound of the preamp of the 5. I do use a tube screamer out front if I need a line or two in a tune..but thats it . If I need crunch...its all there in chan 2. As far as the nova sys. I am really pleased with the sound in the loop. very very transparent no mud.. takes some getting used to..the trick is the volume controls but there are 3 of them...( I think lol).
