New Tubes for my ED

Just purchased some new pre amp tubes for the Dyne.

Not very happy with the Vintage Hi channel so bought some Tung Sol's from The Tube Store. Very cool guys BTW...

Going to replace V1 and V2 with the Tung Sol's.

Anyone have any other suggestions with replacing pre amp tubes in their ED??

Any advice would be great..

Not sure about the dyne but if you have some time this might help... still running that same tube setup to this day. Love it so much I've purchased at least three backups for the Sylvania and the Siemens.

Thanks for sharing that. I am learning alot about tubes and how they affect the amp.

My Dark Terror came with JJ's in the pre and power.

Keeping the JJ's in the power as they are really good EL84's. Replaced V1, V2 and the Phaser with Tung Sol 12AX7's. Amp sounds AMAZING now!! Really happy. Going to try some more combo's over the weekend.

My Dyne is this weekend. All I have are the Tung Sol 12AX7's right now so I am going to try putting them in different spots..

So buttery, so clean, so awesome!!

Now I am really in love with this amp!!

Also, never had a good effects loop in an amp. I am loving my TC Hall of Fame, TC Flashback and Boss DD-6 though the loop. What a difference.

Started using my Rock Crusher too. First impression is good. Need to play with it some more.

Before ever seeing this thread, I bought Tung Sols for both the preamp and power section. Huge difference! :mrgreen:
