Hi AssaultMotive,
You've owned your Triaxis for quite some time now. I hope that you figured out how to get your volume boost for solos. If not, here's the idea...
The Triaxis is a Midi controlled preamp. Any combination combination of settings on the front panel can be saved to a Midi preset. The manual tells you how. It's something like: (1) change the pre-amp settings until it sounds the way you want, (2) press the enter button, (3) change the preset number until its at the value you want, (3) press the enter button again. At that point, all the settings are saved to that preset number.
OK, so now you've got your basic settings saved to a preset. But now you want a bit more boost in volume for a solo...well, that's easy. All you do is bump up the "Master" setting a bit and then save it to a new patch number. Done.
So, let's say you've got your patch for rhythm saved to preset 34 (I randomly picked that number) and you've got your patch for solo saved to preset 35. When you're out gigging, you only need the cheapest of midi foot controllers to switch between the two. Set the Triaxis for 34 and play. When the solo comes, step on your up/down pushbutton footcontroller to step up to setting 35. It's louder. You solo. When done, step on your up/down footcontroller to step back down to 34. It's quieter. You finish the song.
This is kind of like setting the presets on your car radio. You don't need to keep the 6 radio stations that came with the radio when you got the car. You are allowed to put in your own radio stations. In fact, it would be silly not to.
It's the same with the Triaxis. The built-in presets are only there to let you know some of what the Triaxis can do. I've chosen to keep only presets 1-10. All the rest I've overwritten with my own settings. And, like I recommended to you above, many are copies of each other with either a little more volume or maybe a little less gain or maybe a little more dynamic voice. It's all good.
Rockin!
