^^^yep, I usually run mids around 1.30, gain around 1.00, and last time in the studio we ran the mids dimed for most of the heavier riffage, tight sound and with as tight as possible playing.
Lots of Helmet style riffage too, odd times, and whatever other crap that was needed to be played, all the guitar parts for our EP were recorded in a day session. Was good experience I guess too, get your head around your own material even better after tracking it in a studio.
