Gents of the Boogie Board,
Let me present my pride and joy!

Fully loaded Mark IIC+ Export model!

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled into this one on a eBay auction, where a guy listed it as a Simul-Class Mark III for about $1600. Bless the guy. :D
I've been enjoying this beast for the past couple of weeks and I'm loving it! It's got the exact sound I've been looking for! I've arranged an isolated room in the local area for a couple of days, so that I can really crank this baby up.
This is actually my first tube amp, as well as my first Boogie. I kinda feel that I'm not worthy. Anyone want it for free?

It's in pretty good condition. Nearly no scratches or dents in the tolex, and it works perfectly with no flaws. Probably wasn't used that much, and placed in a basement or something... Almost as if I stumbled into a NOS IIC+! ****, I'm lucky...

Fitted it with brand new tubes (and fuse, if anybody remembers my thread on this a couple of weeks back... ) Tubes are stock Mesa, though, but I wanted to start of with a pretty basic tube setup before I start experimenting.
Ed (Boogiebabies) also confirmed that everything on the preamp board is stock, it passed the effects loop test, and the serial matches as well. (142xx)

Only flaw I can see so far is that the back panel is somehow bent in a little (see last pic) This is kinda weird, 'cause there's no damage on the panel surface itself, so I don't think it was because someone knocked it in. My guess is that the power transformer (being so heavy) kinda pulled the chassis a bit downwards during shipping, causing the back panel wall to bend inwards a bit... if you understand what I mean. Anyone ever seen a similar case before?

By the way, is there a IIC+ club around here as well?

Well, it's born March '85 :D Here are some pics:

Congrats , that's a beautiful thing ..
Its possible the amp went over backwards with some phone plugs in the jacks/effects loop . I had a similar incident with my three .
You lucky bastige ! Don't have too much fun with that , yaheah ?

Thanks guys! :D

what?! he listed it as a mark III?

can we at least see the auction page?

way to go!

The page has expired. :(

I was looking around for amps on a daily routine, and looking at this auction, I suddenly realized it didn't have a Pull Rhythm 2 above the middle control. Then I noticed the + above the power chord, and I was like: "Holy ****, this could be a IIC+!" I asked the guy for the serial and at first he gave me the patent number. Then I told him exactly where it was and it turned out to match. So I took a shot and bought the amp, and here I am.
Sucker weighs 43kg! Paid almost £200 for insured shipping!

That is the nice thing about the IIC+. There are still deals to be had from sellers that don't know what they have. Much of the general popluation doesn't know what a C+ is let alone how to identify one.

This is exactly how I got my loaded imbuya C+ - it was a "Mesa Mark series" to the seller who had no idea about II A, B, C, etc. You rarely find these kinds of deals with old Fenders or Marshalls.

Great find Congrats!

Btw was it on ebay in europe?

Thanks!

Yeah, well, in the UK. I use to search both on ebay.com and ebay.co.uk both in worldwide. Sometimes lots of additional stuff comes up.

the more I hear about this, the more I hate you!

What he said. I'd bet you probably paid a similar amount that I paid on my MkIV minus shipping. You LUCKY SOB! Congrats. She's a beaut.
