Decided to give EMG's another go. I'm in no way a Hetfield "fan-boy" LOL.
I have had EMG's in this guitar before, the classic 81/85 combo as well as 81/60 & 85/60.
While I liked the 60 in the neck, I always felt that the 81 was lacking that percussive "punch" you get from passives.
After a quick run with my MKV @ home volumes I am definatly impressed with these p'ups. Very quiet (as Actives are) and clear, but still a little fuzzy on top. The bridge p'up has a lot of top end (like the 81) but seems fuller in the lows.
Can't wait to try these at practice through my Roadster.
