New Mesa Tube.. something loose inside?

When i took one of my new 6l6 tubes out of its packaging it sounded as if something very small was loose inside when moving it around, however i still fitted it and it lights up and sounds great. Is there anything to worry about there? or is this normal?

Most likely a small piece of glass 'flash' inside the base - nothing to worry about. It's quite common.

But it can be annoying if it rattles while you're playing at low volume...

I would not consider it normal by any strech.
There should be nothing "loose" in the tube... looks like a cheap chinese tube with a mesa stamp on it.
