I know what you mean about the waiting period. I am very interested in the gflex and am now going to start saving. One last question for Guitarzan, does this cab produce any problems in the recording process? With the ports or anything?

while we're asking questions

Guitarzan, can i change the speaker grill in the future if i wished, and would it be similar to changing a normal cab or combo grill,

thanks in advance,

pat

and am now going to start saving
God bless you, you are a positive roll model, I on the other hand may run down this afternoon with my new visa....oh the shame.

You can contact GenzBenz for that and find out what can be done, or order custom straight from them, if you have some extra weeks to wait, why not. I still say it looks mean the way it is, like it hasnt shaved.

I have been curious about a few cabs as well, I hope you dont mint the expansion of ideas on the thread. Here are a the cabs I hear in conversation (in guitar circles) the most these days. The G-flex and the Orange being the favored.

VHT 4x12 w/Eminence P50
G-flex 4x12 w/GBE 1240-V75
Bogner Ubercab w/V30 and G12T75 X-pattern
Mesa RK 4x12 w/V30 and C90
Orange 4x12HP w/G12K-100

as for the role model because of saving, let's just say it's because of my visa's that i must do that..lol :)

AHEM....yes there is a Genz Benz for sale.
Hit me up for pics..shipping quote.. Chers pantie sizes..etc.
(just kidding about the panites...she doesnt wear any)

dammit that's it i'm picking one up, too many pro's, and no con's (that i can think of),

hopefully i get paid next week, and well prepare yourself for a hell of a lot of pic's,

pat

p.s: thankyou all for your help,

Mic the cab as usual... Ports are far enough away... Then again, I've never mic'd a port...

Awesome. Thanks for all the info. One day when i get one i will let you know what i think, which from all i have read here and on the HC forums sounds like i will love it.

Well wattage doesn't mean loudness.. It's the sound you want. What type of music do you play? Personally I like the Fender Super-Sonic 2x12 with the Celestion Vintage 30's. If that's not loud enough then the 4x12 is good. The 30 watt speakers have 60 watt handling anyways.
