whether evans was in there to try out some gear or to buy it, he still shouldnt have been treated that way. even if he wasnt going to buy something that day, he may have come back to the store later to buy what he was trying out. now i believe he will never go back to the store again , i know i wouldn't if i had been treated that way. if you work in a music store, you have to be prepared to hear loud music all day. i don't have any sympathy for the salesmen, they know what they were getting into and if they don't like loud music they are free to find another job. personally i know i would hate it so i will probably never work in a music store.
evans, if you're looking for a mid-priced tube amp, i would recommend something like the fender deville. i don't know what kind of music you play but the deville will cover just about anything besides insane scooped metal tones. you could use something like the Boss Metal Zone with it for that. you could also consider a modeling amp, some of them can get pretty close to tube sound. especially the tech 21 and higher end line 6 stuff
