wanted to say hello! New member and proud new owner (and first time mesa owner) of a ‘79 Mark IIa.
Primary influence is Jerry Garcia. I’ve always been a huge fan of his ‘75-‘76 rig (Travis Bean TB1000a through a Mark I pre amp- McIntosh power amp-> JBL K120). Ive got a reissue of the bean, and have been window shopping for a Mark I for a long time but never pulled the trigger, and the more I did my research the more I became interested in the Mark IIa as he played one briefly in early 1980.
The amp is supposed to arrive in a few hours- veryyyy stoked to get it hooked up and take it for a spin. If anyone has any thoughts on ways to get Jerry tone through this thing, please let me know!
