I noticed that there is a misplaced looking screw that is not totally screwed in the amp and is just sort of hanging with about 1.5" of thread showing. Is this normal? It sure doesn't look normal. Why would a screw not be screwed in all the way? Why didn't Mesa use a shorter screw? The screw is right behind the second powertube on the right side of the back of the amp. I am just trying to be wicked observant to make sure I wasn't sold anything sketchy.

Also, why did Mesa choose for the front faceplate thing with the allen screws to be painted black wood? Why not metal like the rest of the chassis?

Really? Not one of the seven people who viewed this question could take the time to answer it? Geez ...

Let me tell you.
I would love to know the answer, but i'm still waiting for my Mark.
Can't you screw it dowm?? maybe it unscrewed on a car trip...
just my 50 cents...

That's a tensioning screw between the chassis and the cabinet. It prevent rattles as well as (probably) improves the ground between the chassis and foil in the top of the cabinet.

My Express has one as do Lone Stars. I'm sure others do too.

Leave it alone- do not attempt to screw it down (unless it's loose and rattling around).

I was going to go look for you, but in light of this pissiness here, you're on your own.

I like that word. 'Pissiness' I am going to save that one for future use.
