Mods, don't know why this was moved here, I am not selling anything. Was just informing the other forumites of the new Mesa Price for the Express 5:25 1x12

Yep the prices are going to increase on Feb 1 or there abouts. Judging from the increase on the 5:25 it looks to be ~17% increase.

WOW!!

so no more entry level Mesas for under a grand . . . :(

i dont wanna get into economic-political discussion here, but how they wanna to people buy something if they're rising prices like that?? :?

i mean, a MkIV combo with all the bells and whistles sure worth more than a grand, but a Express design?? a simple 2 channel amp???

Calling it simple is an understatement. It's not like a **** Hot Rod Deluxe or something. A Supersonic is $1089 and the 5:50 does way more than a supersonic. I'd venture to say the 5:25 does a lot more than a AC15 with a Blue in it for only a little more coin (and probably a much better built product.)

5:25 was never under a grand, anyway, was it?

^^

lemme clarify . . . i call it simple compared to another 2 ch. Mesas amps, for say like the Stiletto, that has way more bells and whistles than the Express (3 modes per ch, bold/spongy option, 2 types of retification, solo function, etc), hence it's higher price tag.

but i really dont see a reason to an Express be so expensive, but well, maybe it's just me

You're right, they're not cheap. They're about equally priced with the competition, though.

Keep in mind that the competition looks like they were built out of parts bought at a shopping mall!

I think they are priced about where they should be in the market. They are under the Super-Sonic and offer way more, and they are about the same as a Rivera Clubster, which they do compare well with.
