My band is in the middle of recording our first CD and we threw some rough versions of two songs on our myspace page. It isn't mixed, and some of the guitar stuff isn't the final take...but I'd love to get your opinions on them.

It's REALLY not my type of music at all but I loved listening to the clips on myspace. I think you got the tones down. The live one sounded buzzy and thin but we all know what the camera can do to your sound.

Great job.

(I hate those kinds of vocals but I think your singer is one of the good ones I've heard)

i really liked the "unmixed" track, if u dont mind me asking what settings did u have on the amp?

Thanks guys. That type of singing isn't for everyone, but we dig it.

The settings were pretty simple.

Gain 3
Treble 7
Mid 6
Bass 5
Presence 3

I had the graphic EQ in a slight V formation and had a Maxon OD808 overdrive in front of the amp.

I especially like the Rough mix-one. Nice tone, did you use the same settings as above.
