I just bought a 2 ch. dual recto sn is in the #10000's, 2 weeks ago for $1200, it is in mint condition, today this popped up on craigslist http://tucson.craigslist.org/msg/404078338.html

I have heard everyone talk about how much better the tremoverb is than the DR and can only keep one and i will have juggle funds around (ie rent) to get the TV, I will be picking it up with out the benifit of playing it through my cab, or guitar.

So Is goning to be better than my DR, and what is a TV worth???

Thanks

I wasn't a fan of the tremoverb I had, I prefer my 3 channel DR to it. That's a decent price for it though. The ToV is a little different than the DR, but they have a lot in common, the best would be a side by side comparison, or you could always call or email the guy and see if you can go and try it out. The thing the ToV has is the greatest clean channel I've ever heard on an amp.

if you like old incubus, you will like the tremoverb. it can give you a lot of variety and it does each of them well. blues, clean, high gain, vintage.

Clutch came over this weekend and we got a chance to A/B his duel and my T-verb. to be honest they both sound really good. I don't think you could go wrong either way. The T-verbs cleans are nice and the added reverb does help. It seems to me the only real diff is that the T-Verb offers a few more options.

The TOV is definitely more mid rangy but can be dialed to sound like the Dual. The blues mode is nice too. The reverb is good, better than my ROV anyway.

If you you don't want reverb or tremelo, I'd say keep the 2ch.

Well, I love my new/used tremoverb head, and can't figure out what I would play that it won't do. I don't play much heavy metal, mainly heavy blues to AC/DC sounds and it is great. But there seem to be several TOVs on ebay right now, at pretty good entry prices.
