Need your recommendation for a great Mesa amptech in the Chicago area.

What does "great" mean? More than "he was ok", have you had a few experiences with him/her. Have you recommended him and those people were also pleased with the service. Doesn't hang you out there for months. Does the job correctly the first time. The amp doesn't take a physical beating in his hands, that is, no new rips, gouges.

What does Chicago area mean? Stick a pin in Wrigley Field and draw a 30mile radius. I'll also go to Milwaukee, Madison, & Rockford.

Gents? Recommendations please.
Thanks in advance.

Check out Tim Schroeder.. I'm not sure if he does Mesa but he's awesome.

The guy builds his own amps and he's a really nice guy.. I've had 3 or 4 guitars worked on by him without issue but I cannot speak for amp experience.

you close to chitown?

Check these guys out. Very professional. My JCM800 combo spent months in another shop with an intermittent problem that never got fixed.
I took it to these guys and they fixed it right.
Also, when I got the amp back it looked like a new amp. They had completely cleaned the grill cloth & tolex.
They don't have the Mesa Booge logo on their website but the text at the top says they repair Boogies.

Konstantine3,, you mentioned doc eddies in streamwood,, this place is like 3 blocks from my house and I have had them do some work for me on my guitars. They seemed to do great work.. I didnt realize they also worked on amps. Did they do a good job? was the service somewhat fast?
