So I was setting my amp up for a show the other night and when I turned the switch on to do a sound check it was buzzing really bad. I could not figure it out so I decided to unplug the foot switch and plug it back in and it fixed the problem. What could have been the problem there or what made it do that? Thanks for any help.

I read that reversing the powerplug by 180° can cure some grounding problems. It never cured any of my hums and buzzes, though :)

How do you do that with a polarized (only goes in one way) IEC cord?

The hum was probably from not having the footswitch cable plugged in all the way.

If it happens again, read my "Did You Get the Memo?" thread. It sounds similar to what I was experiencing with my RK. Switching the amp on and off, helped me at first, and then the problem got worse. It sounds like it could be a marginal pre-amp tube.
