Here's my completed rig!! Hurrah at last

Triaxis : 20/20 : G-Force : 3 Main Axial Fans(shifting 2300 ltrs of air a minute! Cool ) : Sennheiser UHF true diversity radio system. Power conditioners in the rear to save rack size. and a traditional Rectifier Cab.

You have some nice guitars there. I just bought a Fly Classic and am awaiting shipment. I plan to sell off my Ibanez RG to help compensate the cost of the Fly. Which pickups do you have installed on the Fly (gen 1 or 2's)? When i retrieve my things I plan to sell off most of my old gear (bunch of Peavey US guitars and Peavey amps) in place of my TA rig along with a Mesa head (not sure if I want to go with the Mark IV route or go with something like a stiletto).

Do you really feel the cooling fans are necessary? I know they won't hurt anything but rack stuff is big to begin with I would hate adding what is seemingly wasted space.

Have you tried the 2:90 power amp with the TA? Is the Gforce in the loop or after the outputs? I might be in the market for nice effects unit later on and the Gforce would definitely be considered.

Lets start with that question, I'm sure loads of you have never had a problem with cooling, but once I had an amp overheat on me mid set so I take no risks now. Also TC recomend that the G-Force prefers cool! I also have a huge step down transformer in the rig (as you will see further down) which generates heat! So keeping it all cool makes sense to me and perhaps will make things last out better.....

I have but I have to say the 20/20 gives me more then enough output and I found the extra switching unnecessary for my needs, and the G-Force is out the loop, between pre and power.

Which pickups do you have installed on the Fly (gen 1 or 2's)?

It's a 1999 Parker Fly Delux and the pickups are gen 1, being the Dimarzio's

Yup it's a Malmsteen, and it's a beast!!

The pictures below tell the story pretty much as to why the Rig is in the config, but I'll explain: The bottom tray holds the following;
1.Silencer block 4 way power conditioned and surge protected

3.Radio
4. The power cables have all been replaced and custom made to hi spec audiophile standards

So as you can see with the step down transformer the rig has to be this way! and it works a treat! and it's beautiful to me!!

All the audio cable are George l's and I can keep the signal flow neat and as short as possible

The Rack units are all isolated from each other using 'Humfree's and all contacts,pots and switches are cleaned and treated with DeoxIT products

Nice man. I would think with the step downs and stuff that things could have gotten kind of crazy in there but you kept them tidy and even zip-tied them in place. Did you shorten cables and used cord caps? It looks like you shortened your cables and put new plug ends on. That is a nice compact rig.

I didn't realize how much stuff you had in the back. Looks like it wired up very nicely! Do you have both the TA and the 20/20 plugged into the step down converter? I am sure you know this but you can run the 20/20 on your countrie's voltage by changing a jumper or two around inside the amp.

I did shorten the cables to the minimum to keep things tidy as well as the upgrade benefits to the power supply to the units with the better cable

Yeah I know this but I kinda was happy running off the step down, keep it as meant to be....and yeah there is loads in there, thing is it is way too heavy!! :?

This is why i keep to the 2 space rack with my power converter on the floor (100v japan to 120v). I like to keep things simple (well kind of) and as compact as possible. I know the rig sounds good (I even have mine fitted with JJ's too). Now that you have this what's left to buy?

.....left to buy, well really just a Rocktron all Access pedal to replace my Midimate in time but thats just me being silly...isnt it

Oh and an Eric Johnson Strat (as he's my guitar player of choice!!!! beautiful tones etc) I realise I have little chance of sounding like him but the Strats are very nice!
