MXR 10 band EQ or equivelant

I love my Roadster, but I want to use an eq of some sort, just to get my tone closer to where I want it. Right now it seems a little muddy and gets lost a bit even though my bass is under 12 and mids are over 12. My RP1000 has an eq built in and when engaged my tone livens up a bit, but I just want a simple pedal to throw into the loop. Is the MXR 10 channel pedal a good way to go or is there another one that can be recommended.

Well, run that pedal through, but make sure you run your rig thru a good power conditioner as well...
