Have any of you rectoverb or recto owners had your amp modded ?
I've heard alot of great things about voodoo mods.
Anyone out there had it done ?

Yep...I had Voodoo mod my Road King. I mainly wanted the cleans to be more "chimey" when playing a humbucker equiped guitar. (You should've heard Trace's strat through it...WHOA!!!)

They then did the standard mods...bias pots, etc. I know some people shun using anything but Mesa tubes, but I like having those options.

I actually sat in while the guys at Voodoo modded my amp...they'd tweak a little then ask me what I thought. The biggest differnce is the clean channel, the gain channels didn't get a radical makeover, just a subtle one. I'm assuming (I don't know for sure) that the mod they do on the gain channels gets more juice to the tubes as the gain seemed to warm up a bit. (That's the best way I can describe it.)

..and of course the disclaimer, all mods void the warranty.

Voodoo seems the place to go for amp mods.

It seems like a bit of a kick in the nuts for mesa. But modding amps is just like having a fully moded guitar just for you... 8)
