MKIV Clean Channel not very Loud

Hi
I have been concerned about the Clean Channel in my MKIV is not as loud as the other Channels .
For example if my R2 is on about 2 or 3
the R1 (Clean channel ) has to be on about 6 to be equal volume.
Is this the case with this amp ?

have you tried turning the R1 gain up a little- it doesnt put any noticeable distortion i find

I've had settings like that and thought nothing of it. Mainly because I was using way more gain on R2 and lead. For example if I had the pull fat out on R2 and was mimicking the lead channel with a lot of distorion. The lead channel would have everything pulled with the gain on 7 or 8 and lead drive on 7 - 9. As you bring up the gain on R1 you'll start backing down its channel setting. This sounds normal but I'm not there to play around with your amp so I could be wrong.

My RYH 1 is pretty loud...for my Apt :roll: I've got the gain at about 6-7 pulled out and the master at 3-4 output at about 3-4 and there is no distortion, sounds pretty clear.

Right you are guys , I was keeping my gain Down on R1
thinking it would Distort.
All is well now : 8)
