I'm selling most of my amps (Heartbreaker, Express 5:25)
Looking for a really great grab and go amp.

A friend of mine wants to sell my old Rectoverb 2 combo back to me.
The new Mini Recto has me intrigued, but I like stellar, loud cleans. Don't really like the reverb on the ROV, but could probably mod it fairly easily.

And.....the kicker is......
I live on an island and have no way to actually try a Mini Recto in person.
Plus.....I made the mistake of buying one of the very 1st Roadsters because I was caught up in the GAS & hype. I eventually sold it because I only used 2 channels and ended up getting a Tremoverb in trade.

Needs:
Less than 100 watts
Stellar cleans (I'm wondering how much headroom is in the Mini clean channel)
Recto distortion

Neither. Go with the Royal Atlantic. You'll have the best of both of the amps listed.

Or ... just get a reissue Fender Twin and some pedals.

If you were stating that you wanted the Dual Rec, my answers would be different. Why? The Mini Recto is nice, but won't get the same low-end chunk of a 100-watt Dual Rectifier.

If I had to choose out of the two, I suppose I'd go Rectoverb, since it has a dedicated clean channel with enough headroom to be worth your time ...

I'm leaning toward the ROV because it used to be mine, and it sounds much better than the 2 ROV heads I've had.
:D Also, I won't have to pay shipping! :D

And.....I've learned my lesson about buying a very new amp design that hasn't been tried & tested yet!

Honestly, I wish I could just buy my old Soldano Lucky 13 back! I would love to have a Maverick 1x12 combo and a Lucky 13 50 watt 2x12 combo!
