Hi there;
Here's another track from Metallica's black album, this time is Through the Never.
Recorded with the same stuff as usual, with a Quad pre on lead 1 all the time trough a 50/50 and a Rectifier 2x12. Used an ESP M-II and my custom kind of flaming V guitar; first with EMG 81 combo and the second with 81-60, but doesn't matter since I used only the 81 during all the track.
And a heavy use of the ADA mq1, trying to get as close as possible to black's album sound, at least to this song, so probably the settings are slighty different than my last track. No postprocessing eq, and no other effects.
The solo was a pure atrocity against music, so I turned it's volume down. It's still hearable, but just for the "here's the solo" :lol:
Mics are Shure SM57 and AKG C3000B, and recorded with a Presonus Firebox sound card.
