mesa power amps equivalent to Dual Monobloc?

I am not aware of any stereo amp designs that Mesa employs 2 power transformers. I think the 290 weighs a lot and I couldn't even begin to imagine what the weight of a dual power transformer stereo rack amp would be. I used to have a 395 which had even BIGGER transformers than the 290!

It's not completely failsafe: there is a common electrical plug and maybe a common fuse for the input power. If something goes sour it's gonna mess up your night and you'd be better off bringing a backup solid state amp.

my marshall EL34 100/100 bit the dust 1 month after i bought it.

both sides blew...one right after the other.



my 2:90 has never blown other than 1 tube in 10 years.

i still havent fixed the brand new marshall.
