Oi, Vigo1999! Tudo bem?
Yes, that Palomino looks very much like a Maverick but with an additional pot for (I guess) Presence. Also, the logo over the front panel says "Dual Caliber" instead of "Dual Rectifier".
I was wondering was kind of an interrupted attempt it was.
The DC-3 came out at the same time as a Dual Caliber version of the "Studio .38" and, with the DC-2 (22~25 watts) and the DC-3 (35~38 watts) sporting 1 and 2 pairs of EL 84's, that space seemed to be too crowded for another "Dual Caliber" sporting EL 84's.
Mystery!!
Yes, I agree. Seems like the Palomino might be the missing link between the Maverick and the LoneStar Special. Has the footswitchable "crunch" evolved into a footswitchable "solo"?ur86d said:That IS interesting. Sounds like the lonestar special might have been spawned from the palomino.
